FEED THROUGH THE ROOF

iv just paid the feed bill this month and it is up £100 pounds i carnt believe its this price saw dust up £1.20 mix corn 90 pence starter crumbs 1 pound layers 1.10 pence thats 1 thousand 200 pound rise in chickins . the round bales are £30 pound up 5 pound sheep feed 80 pence a bag and thats with out vat in January i honestly dont think we can cope with this rise .more people will stop keeping animals goats chickins etc .i will cut all my stock in half

its going to be a hard winter i think for folk with animals everything goes up and up

My poultry growers 25Kg had gone up mearly 40p this morning  :o

After reading this, i wish i'd got some extra feed in this week instead of waiting til next   ::)

The winter before last we were paying 10 euros per 25 k. sack for pig food.  Hope it never gets that high again.

the prices at our local agricultural supplies go up and down like a yo yo but not to bad at the moment paid £9.25 for 25 kg of mixed corn and 25kg of layers pellets didnt think this was too bad?

I picked up feed today, mixed corn £7.75 for 25kg and layers £5.50 for 20kg, both gone up 50p a bag in the last 2 weeks

wow digit that is unbelievable the corn i buy is half that price didnt realise how lucky i was!

Mine is £8.25 a 20kg bag for either.  You are ALL lucky!

Our business is based on selling animal feed luckly so far we have had no increase on prices since sept 09.Hope it stays that way!

yes i gather that .but this price increase was for stock that was standing .we haven't got the real price yet iff i have £100 pound increase for chickins iv got sheep on top bedding nuts etc up £20 pound then diesel up as well as shopping it could be £150 a month .£37 a week naw .and i haven't made no think this yere .i will sell a bit later but i still ow £3000 at 50 pound a month intrest
