Hi,

Does anyone know the difference between flubenvet and Flubendazole?

looks like the latter is about £10 cheaper https://www.viovet.co.uk/Flubendazole-1/c39027/?quick_find=249655&gclid=CjwKCAjwhLHaBRAGEiwAHCgG3n3b8Qz4hnVnuV4b2IxkwdrfLl6pypBK4UZ4yP8C3BrkexoHgBgovBoCb9wQAvD_BwE

is it just a brand name thing?

Yes - same drug at the same strength.

But you can get it premixed with feed cheaper - £5.95 for 5kg / £7.70 for 10kg / 12.29 for 20kg. Even the generic powder works out at £6.12 to add to each 5kg of feed. If a chicken eats 100-120g of pellets per day and treatment is for 7 days then each chicken treated needs 700-840g of pellets in that time. So if you have 6 or more birds you can use a complete 5kg sack of pre-medicated feed and not have to worry about expiry dates.

Thanks for the reply and doing the maths for me :)

It certainly does look like buying it already in the feed will be better for me.

I’ll speak to my local supplier and see if they can get it in for me.

Thanks for the tip.
