What am I allowed to do???
« on: July 13, 2018, 10:02:31 am »
Hi everyone, I'm sure some of you will know the answer to this.....
I'm in the process of buying a3 acre field in dartmoor. Its currently classed as permanent pasture. I will be keeping my goats on it and housing them in a mobile stable
Ideally I would also like to keep a few chickens and maybe start a veg patch.
So, am I allowed to do this? Will I need to sell some eggs and veg so it remains agricultural land? Or will I need to get change of use?
I already earn an income through the goats making soap (me, not the goats).
Any words of wisdom willingly received :)

Your field is agricultural and you will be using it for agricultural purposes, so no problem. You can grow anything - not just grass.
Rules are made:

Great! Thanks for the reply :)
Does anyone else live in a national park? Just wondering if different rules apply?
