How long in isolation?
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:11:37 am »
How long do I need to keep the new boar in isolation? He's been on his own for 10 days at his old home as the finishers he was with went off so he's a bit down in the dumps. He's eating fine and seems fit and well so no worries there just noticed he looks fed up so want him to meet his ladies as soon as safe to do so. I thought 5 days is that about right?

I'd say 5-7 days sounds about right. But if there was any way to let him see the girls without the chance of him deciding to go visit (depends how strong your fences are and how lonely he is  ;) ;D) that might be worth a try to perk him up.

Thanks but unfortunately not. Let's hope the girls are worth the wait!
