The turkeys are lovely.  We used to have 2 Sarah and Charlotte.  They were comics.  Both lived until they were around 6 year old.  I bought them from the local turkey farm.  The man thought I was off my head when I said I wanted them alive as they were to be pets.

They are beautiful  :)  I grew up on a turkey farm and have always loved them. (we had pigs too - hundreds of them !)  They do make great pets - we had one here (Gilbert) which followed my husband around a bit like a dog. I think if we had more we would breed them rather than eat them.  I used to worry about the deep snow we get but Gilbert didn't mind at all.  Wonderful creatures  8)

They are lovely, we have 6 of varying ages the 2 biggest are called Cranberry and Cracker. No prizes for guessing what their fate is going to be  ::)
