Grandpas feeder and squirrels
« on: June 24, 2018, 11:38:12 am »
i love my grandpas feeder but so do the squirrels.
Just went to see the chickens only to find the feeder was vibrating. Opened the front and there was a squirrel stuck inside.
Any suggestions to n how to stop them robbing the food?

Oh  :(

I think I would call the importer and ask!  They were very helpful when I phoned them.  Let us know what they say!

If they are grey squirrels an airgun will do the job.

That's true Dan, but it sounds as though Bionic has already found a good way to trap them!  ;D

Spoke to Grandpas Feeders this morning. She said that recently they have had a few people asking the same question, not something they have had previously. Maybe more squirrels about?
They recognise that there is a problem but the only suggestion is to put more weight on the lid. Just enough to stop the squirrels but not too much so that the crooks can't feed.
