sell standing grass as hay crop to dairy farm would make more money.... sold this way they will get on and cut it..... assuming it is good grass and weed free.

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.

Mule ewe hoggs ave £130  last weeks sale

yep an as you know shep you could easily end up selling them for £120 as shearlings, no guarantee with sheep or livestock in general for that matter

One of the issues being that in general, the mule ewe hoggs are being sold by known breeders and the price reflects that, but if an unknown buys a few and sells them as shearlings, there will be a price drop because it's not a known producer.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Could have bought plenty of old hill ewe's with lambs for £30 per  life and if going onto decent grass all should be fat by the autumn or if not sell store . This is what many farmers do every year
