Hi all

I am a newbie with sheep, im in kent, looking forward to any advice and chats with others, I have just 10 store lambs at the moment and looking to start a small flock later this year, one of my lambs (5 months old) is breathing heavier than the others and i can hear it breathing, noticed today, could any one throw any light on it for me please? does the rain of the last two days possable effect it? or is that just coincidence? the other 9 are just fine? they have been wormed etc.

Could well be pneumonia if you have had warm damp weather. Probably needs a jab of teramycin which you should be able to get from your vet.

I went up the field this evening and wondered what I would find.....but amasingly rounded them up and absolutley no sign of anything, looked fine not breathing badly at all.... I will keep a closer eye over the next few weeks or so...
thanks for your replys

Dear AndyWalt
I'm sure your sheep are fine & you're just being paranoid. My advice is to give them some space & let them breathe. You are probably the cause! If you leave them alone, im sure their breathing will return to normal. Don't be obsessive!! haha x
