i believe my rescue birds may have worms they are very thin and producing very loose poop...

how do i check for sure or am i better to treat anyway if so with what?

I would treat them anyway.  They would have been wormed at the battery farm but they pick them up easily.  I use verm x regularly and flubinvet every so often.

Flubenvet definately for a worm control, you can get it from vets or various places on the internet. VermX is a herbal and more of a deterent. I would not risk a herbal in this case and go for getting the job done.Check for lice as well as they can cause bad condition as well. There will now follow lots of opinions on wormers but Flubenvet in this case is the best option.

i agree with hermit. you want to kill off the worms before they contaminate your runs. then verm-x if you want to. are you sure that they are not just suffering from the change of conditions. from temp controlled versus an autumn in a chuck run.give them a little extra food and see.

Flubenvet twice a year (every spring and every autumn)  maybe add a tonic to their water aswell. or some probiotic yoghurt to their feed

Apple cider vinegar helps too
