when did you start them?

probably time to rack into clean demijohn leaving the sediment behind and top up to the shoulders with cool boiled water.

refit airlock and let it get on with it

you could also check SG and/or taste to see what you think.

we keep ours in DJ's till it's ready to drink then bottle

You may already have a fancy filter to help clear the brew. However, if not, I suggest using a coffee filter/funnel. The paper filters are easy to buy from the supermarket along with the plastic funnel. Get the largest size you can find and pre-filter to remove as much of the pulp first. I use a wire mesh flour sieve for this but clean it immediately as they are only mild steel and will rust quickly if the fruit pulp is left on them.

The coffee filter may take a while to pass the liquid but it is quite effective. Be careful not to allow fruit flies into the filtered brew or their bodies will 'flavour' the mix!

depends what stage you are at - it is all the fruit you need to strain or is the must?
if its the fruit your jelly bag'll be fine - but if it's all the sediment stuff then you need to use a tube
