Hello from the west sussex/ surrey borders
« on: August 21, 2010, 01:14:33 pm »
I love the animal icons, I have never seen these before  :pig: :cat: :chook: :dog: :sheep:

We are Neil, Michaela and Oliver Giles from tedfold cottage farm, which is a smallholding based in the South. We keep a registered herd of British Saddlebacks and like to concentrate on the rarer lines so we can do our bit, we also have some Gloucester Old Spots which were purchased on a complete whim but we are glad we did as they are adorable. We also run a small flock of badger face sheep (Torduu) which are predominately for meat but we do sell some on the hoof. Throw in some chickens, horses, cats and dogs and you have the complete farm.

Our motto is naturally produced, outdoor reared, happier animals which I hope we achieve.
Take a look at our website www.tedfoldcottagefarm.co.uk to have a look at our animals.

I am looking forward to having a good look around this site and seeing what everyone alse gets up to

Best wishes
Michaela

I have most other livestock but for some reason have never fancied pigs. :)

It must be a personality thing as we failed dismally to get on with pygmy goats a few years back ;D It would be a boring world if we all liked the same animals... :goat:

Thanks for all the other welcomes as well - very friendly site

Hi and welcome from the Scottish borders  Had a look at your website you have some lovely pigs.I have 3 osb's at the moment being reared for meat but am quite tempted to perhaps breed, not with these ones as they are purely for the freezer.
