I am in need of a small livestock trailer to take our 3 pigs to the abbatoir at Grantown. We are a new set-up, these are our first pigs and we really can't justify the outlay of a new trailer when we will only need it once a year.

I realise I should have thought this through before now...... I thought renting one would be easy.

I have tried all our local trailer hire companies without success.

Does anyone have anything suitable we could hire (cash... or pork???) or borrow?

We would need it on 3rd and 4th April.

I may be able to help you with this Sally but have you checked with the abattoir? They stopped taking pigs a few years ago.

Granton still take private kill pigs I take mine there , I too can help with a trailer

It looks like they're taking them again, they definitely stopped doing them and sheep too.
