Greetings from Australia
« on: March 11, 2018, 11:29:06 pm »
Hello everyone,

My name is Lachlan. I'm a writer and farm manager from Trentham, Australia (about an hour and a half north-west of Melbourne.) I've signed up to the forum to learn more about smallholding, as my wife (who's English) and I are planning on moving to Scotland in about two years. I am particularly interested in learning about woodland management, rearing sheep, and green living.

I am a beekeeper, horse rider, and vineyard worker. We keep chickens and Guinea Fowl on the property, and are looking into sheep.

No doubt you will be getting questions from me in the near future!

Cheers

  Hi and welcome from soggy Wales.
Linda

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.

Hi Lachlan down there   You'll find Scotland can be a beautiful place to live (but there are some not so nice bits).
Do you know that there's a rare native black bee in Scotland, looking for champions.......... :bee: :bee: :bee:

Hi and welcome from equally soggy Cornwall.  Good luck with the plan.  Goodness knows what the UK will "look-like" in 2 years time though!!
