Hello from a future farmer!
« on: February 22, 2018, 04:54:36 pm »
Hi there!

I'm a farmer's daughter interested in learning as much about farming as I can! I'm also a passionate grower and recently completed a 10 week horticulture course at a local market garden.

I'm involved in several farming projects including a click and collect farmers market called The Food Assembly, an app to monitor soil health called Sectormentor for soils and a podcast sharing the voices of small scale farmers called Farmerama.

Looking forward to getting involved in the community. :)

Hi and welcome from Cornwall
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

I love the idea of the food assembly! Was wandering if something like this exists in the UK! Like the podcasts as well
Growing loads of fruits and vegetables! Raising dairy goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits on 1/2 acre in the middle of the city of Leicester, using permaculture methods.

Yup, there’s a food assembly just a few miles from us in Cornwall too
