Large barn wanted
« on: February 14, 2018, 01:09:51 pm »
I want to have built a structure 18m long by 7m wide that will be split into three parts as follows:

1. Double garage (6m by 7m)
2. Storage area (5m by 7m)
3. Workshop (7m by 7m)

I see this as one structure but am open to ideas.

Do you know of any manufacturers that specialise in this type of building that I can contact. I imagine I am looking at a wooden structure or concrete or metal. Any other options people can think of?

Thanks

Look on ebay under "buildings" and see what appeals to you.

Someone locally is having a garage/store built using the same basis as a barn.. steels.. but lower than barn height with a pitched roof and steel sheet cover.
Its a solid construction method and there's bound to be a local farm barn fabricator to cut/prepare the steels for your builders leaving the options for how you fill-in between the steels for anything from York Boarding to Breezeblock or Stud work with cladding and insulation. Indeed you may want to vary this for the different sections (a nice warm workshop?).
