Hi ive just got a small plot of land which i am hoping to keep pigs and chickens it is so over grown nothings been on it for about 4 years!! so loads of brambles and scratches  :( i have cleaned the bit i am hoping to keep the chickens on behind a huge air raid type shelter there is loads of ivy ground coverage have pulled up all that i can see and am left with are soil will put down aload of grass seed (dont know why chickens will just blitz it anyway) but my question is will the chicken be alright on the ground where ivy was/and still might be? could put them on the pasture land bit but would prefer to have them near shed/orchard for shelter and maximum use of land. thanks
