I love to cook since retiring and have more time. I  do have a slow cooker but do not use it so much as I used to. Never used a pressure cooker but a friend made soup in hers every day for her farmer husbands lunch. I made a clootie dumpling in my mircowave for Christmas and it turned out great. I do a lot of slow cooking in my oven, our own pork and lamb.

I use the oven on slow cook setting.  There is a timer on the oven but its broken.  I was never that keen on the slow cooker as everthing came out watery and the oven is great as I take the lid off for the last hour and turn off a lot of the water.
