That's brilliant! Well done  :)

Did you develop the machines and everything or does the system adapt from another process?

We developed our own unique way of processing....we have our large quantities washed elsewhere locally (12 tonnes in 2009) we are a but different to other sheeps wool insulation people as we buy direct as well as from the BWMB and we only take SW wool for the insulation...
We have some amazing machinery, some 90 years old and some brand new. I could write a book on what we do.....and the hurdles we have to jump ::)
Some of the system adapts but some is invented by us......

You should write the book and soon! I'm fascinated by this type of set up.

Don't give away the 'trade' secrets tho'  :)

I really enjoyed that Val  :)  Bet it took all day to film before they cut most of it out  ::)

Wow...very impressed! I love to see people push themselves and be inventive, we all have ideas from time to time but to execute them and for them to be sucsessful is another level all together...well done!!!

Thats inspirational, thanks. You should be very proud.

Aside from the fact that I may contact you next year when we need insulation for yurts I am interested in the fence your using in the first bit of the video.  Someone on here recommended a 'New Zealand' style fence using strands instead of stock fence the other day and I am interested to try it out.  Is that what I saw on the video at your place?  Does it work as well?  I bet you dont get sheep with their head caught in that and surely its easier to install, maintain and buy?

Brilliant! Great to see a product like yours getting air time! When we eventually get to build a house, we will defo consider the wool as an insulator.

Just got around to watching your video - well done you, what a brilliant use of a product you found you had too much of. Beautiful sheep by the way. I wish you every success in this venture. :)
