Hi Mark - Dizzy1pig is close by and she has Silkies, Frizizles and Aracunas - all very beautiful.

CameronS is also in Fife and has some for sale from time to time.

I have Black Rock, Isa Warrens, Lavanders, Light Sussex and 5 chicks just born over the weekend (Aracunas we think). Also have goats, geese, ponies, lambs, ducks, a rabbit, 3 Cocker Spaniels, 3 goldfish and a parrot.

Currently i have for sale some light Sussex, i am about 6miles away from Cupar, just outside Ceres.

i have two hens one is 11months approx, the other is 16weeks and may just be coming into lay.

how hard is it to look after chicks, i wouldnt like to mess things up  , what equipment would you need any tips or web sites i could look at first

Chicks are relatively easy to look after, as long as they're kept to temparature, have food & clean water.

I'm a wee bit further afield in Ballingry & have 1 Buff Orpington & 1 Maran pullets (12 weeks) that are in need of a new home  plug plug  

As for websites, you could do a lot worse than this one

Chicks are easy to look after , providing you have patience to wait 21days for chicks, and a further 19 weeks for eggs, and are able to dispatch any unwanted cockerels.

to hatch you need and incubator(or a broody hen), a warm secure place to put the chicks when hatched - red heatlamps for warmth for about the first 1-2 weeks, chick crumbs, shallow drinkers. and a safe outdoor pen,Time and patience .
