Burning coloured fir cones

Hi everybody,

Has anyone ever made coloured fir cones with chemicals for burning?? my mum brought some last year that had copper sulphate on them and they burned blue/green, just wondering how you make them as i have a bout 12 bag fulls of cones here!!

Found a couple of recipes on google, so may have a go and let people know the results................. not that i am any sort of chemist so better check the BBC evening news when i start ;D ;D

\i shall take a look at google..loads of cones here and they would be great for my grandchildren to pop onto the fire!!!
