Oh, Rosemary.  :hug: :hug:  It’s been an anxious start to the holiday season here; heat in Hillie’s nearly dry udder four days ago changed my Xmas plans.  However, she’s finished the treatments now and all seems well so far :fc:, so I’ll be spending four or five hours of today in the car :/. Never mind, the roads will be quiet!  :D

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Just looked outside at 10pm and we've got a WHITE Christmas  :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :snowman:

And a belated happy Christmas to you all from me. We had a wonderful time with our elder son and his wife and son (aged 2). Came back yesterday to find a sodden carpet in the spare bedroom, a wet spare bed and bedding and a huge wet patch on the ceiling. Just waiting for someone to come and go up in the loft to put the problem right then we can ring the insurance company.


Not quite the homecoming we expected.
