Afternoon Troops,

Just wondering who everyone goes for for their Smallholding insurance?  We're having a shocker at the moment trying to get the right policy for us without paying through the nose for some of the cr*p that they try to add-in.

Answers on a postcard, Cheers,

Captain

I use NFU too.  They have a general buildings insurance that includes up to about 10 acres, but were happy to extend it to 20 acres on request, they include animals (in case of accident or third party claims - not sudden death!) and we also have the household contents with them as well.

It's worth speaking to them if you have anything out of the ordinary.

I should add that my NFU insurance is as a private home, not as a business.  Of course they also do large farms under business insurance.

We use the FUW and our bill is only around the £1000 mark.  Gradually I want to move all my insurance over to them, you cant beat a good broker for their knowledge and the ease of renewal.
