Well I have persevered, didnt touch it while wet, waited til sun came back out from whereever it has been hiding and turned again......its ready!!

OH has gone on his Jolly Boys Week in Skye with his shoot syndicate so am left at the helm and not only do I not know how to thread our square baler, I dont even know if it works yet!!

So have taken the plunge and rang the local contractor, he said if I row it up at about 3pm he'll came and bale it after that!!

Fingers crossed that black cloud that is moving over doesnt drop a load of rain on it!!

Did you get it baled and stacked?  Ours is still waiting in the field to be mown.

Just as I was about to walk out of the door to row it up.......the heavens opened and I mean torrential, contractor rang me within 5 mins to ask if we had had the same amount of rain as him!!

He said to ring him when its ready but its just rained again, am giving up hope now to be honest, just got everything crossed that all this rain will make the grass on the top field grow enough to get a crop later in August!!

How depressing.  Thursday is forecast to be dry here.......  No long spell for us to cut and make but you just might get yours dried to bale.

Well now I appreciate why it costs me £3.50 a bale.   :sheep:  :horse:

Oh what a shame ponyntrap,  Last summer was a nightmare for us, it was so wet. We were very late getting our hay cut, but managed it.
We had all that dry weather, but not enough grass as no rain, and now its started, it seems to be raining every day here.  Need the fields back for the ponies as soon as possible!!
