hello from southern ireland
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:05:03 pm »
Well, here we are, another wet day in the Sunny South East! But in the silver lining mode, I have time to say hello to you all. We are just outside Wexford, we have a house and 6 or 7 acres. We have 2 horses, 4 house dogs,  (1 rehomed, 3 rescued), 6 retired greyhounds, 4 chickens (gift), 5 chicklets, and a cockerel. oh and 1 cat ( rescued), (repeatedly). Refer to greyhounds. We grow as much fruit and veg as we can, some quite successfully. Some completely disastrously, need a bit of help. We have had sheep and goats, but as we intend to sell up and move to a smaller house with less land, we will have to see if we can fold up small enough to fit any more in. Will be chattering more soon. Carrie

Thankyou all for such a kind welcome.
And in answer to queries:
Sheila, I get some time in the evening to sit at the computer, though it's 9.45 now and OH is out mowing lawn!
Hilarysmum, I eat too much to be anywhere near trim. Sigh.
Little blue, Only one of the greyhounds is free range, and no threat to the chickens or spud the cat.
Spud had to be rescued from the cooker hood, when 2 of the greyhounds escaped and got in the kitchen.
But he has more problems from a local tomcat. Always getting chewed up. Bless.
