what happened to the egg??

I went to candle my broody's eggs just now and there is one less than yesterday! No evidence of broken shell, hens are all fine. where could it have gone??? :&>

just had same prob with one of mine the chicken ate them shell and all she did the same last year lol ;D

I had one that was 'clumsy' getting on and off the eggs and when one was cracked or broken she would eat it all, including the shell.

Julie, did yours keep up the habit of eating her eggs? Our mama hatched one chick and in the end must have eaten all the others bar one! Unless a rat got into the locked eglu but left hen and chick alone...??? ??? ??? :&> :chook: :chook:
