With the biting-the-boots thing, whenever our weaners nibble our toes, our toes give them a tap on the nose! Doesn't need to be hard, of course, just unpleasant, they'll understand it the third time round (you can practically see them think and wonder if it's worth another try!), and every now and then they'll forget and you'll need to repeat it - just like kids, really!
Ours bite our legs and knees as well, and we did the same with that - they just got a tap from our hand or a push, and again after a few times they know and every now and then they need a reminder. They still do it on occasion when we arrive with food, but they never bite hard. It's probably just a piggy thing that comes natural to them. I don't know whether the biting is to encourage us or greet us, I'm sure some of the experienced people on this forum will be able to tell us something about the reason why pigs do all this, it'd be interesting to know more about their little minds!
One of ours went for a swim today - but he had stepped into the little drink trough rather than the big one, so of course he didnt' fit and his chubby little bottom hang out of one end! Then he sort of glided back out, the funniest pictures I've got of him so far!
