Hmmm - eggs!
« on: July 12, 2010, 05:48:31 pm »
Well just a few days ago I was posting that my ex-bats had not laid an egg since I rescued them in April - they have been through a moult and are now fine looking. I was debating whether their time had come.

Lo and behold 2 days running we have had eggs.

Although - call me suspicious, but I wonder whether my mother in law (as previously mentioned, slightly eccentric) may be putting the eggs in the nest box when I am not looking to save the chickens  :P ::) :o

Assuming all is normal (as normal as it gets round here) it looks like we have eggs again anyway  ;D ;)

I think I will be very disappointed if you post in a few days time and say your mother in law was not saving these chooks and they were indeed laying by themselves ha ha. ;)

She is eccentric, but very smart. She would buy free range from somewhere else so no date stamp  ::) ;D

Hmm - maybe I watch too much CSI.  :P
