Abattoir - Aberdeen/shire

I can't find any recent posts about private slaughter in the north east. Grantown (Millers) seems a long journey for animals in a trailer.
Am hoping to get pigs and sheep soon but want to ensure I've thought through the whole plan before we take the plunge.
Where do other folk go - I am just west of Aberdeen

Have you tried calling McIntosh Donald in Portlethen?  I know you must be part of QMS to send livestock there but it may be different for private kills.  It's worth giving them a call.

As far as I know Millers have stopped doing private kills - I could be wrong, they may have changed their minds. We now use Munroes at Dingwall which is a trek from Fraserburgh (we use Beedie bros to carry them) - they offer a butchery service and delivery back to our area. When we've used Millers you have to arrange your own butcher then collect when ready - another trek for all concerned.
Most abbatoirs now are only interested in large batches of animals....

We also use Dingwall. Very good but a bit of a trail.
