PIG OIL FOR SALE
« on: July 09, 2010, 01:53:03 pm »

Hi All

We have pig oil for sale.

It's top grade pig oil straight from manufacturer...

5 litre can - £23 including postage
1 litre bottle - £9 including postage
500 ml bottle - £4.80 including postage

A bit about pig oil....It's used on pigs skin to moisturise the skin helping with dry, itchy, flaky skin and also helps with mites..  It is also used on horses feathers to prevent and cure against mites/grease etc.. It works well on heavy horses, coloured cobs, welsh ponies, highland ponies and any feathered breeds.  In addition it can be used as a coat shine for horses.

We use the pig oil ourselves on both our pigs and our heavy horses.  We've used, stocked and sold the product for many years so thought I'd pop a post on here in case anyone is interested.  If you are interested please get in touch, email [email protected]

Thanks for looking, any questions or further info just give us a shout!

Cheers, Matt and Sarah.

I use it too, on my Dales and Fell ponies feathers during the muddy winters.  Buy the pig oil, then mix it with flower or sulphur and put all round their legs.  Not using it at the moment with the dry weather.  And we cannot find it locally, have to travel into the next county for it.

I find it better with the sulphur and hve bought it already mixed before.  Need to use it now to get rid of scurf and stop any mites in their tracks!!!  Helps to get through my cobs tail too, bit on the full and thick side it is!!

We use it for all the things mentioned above and If it helps any more, here is a list of other things it does;

*It prevents the feathers snapping due to wet & muddy conditions and 'Bog Burn'

* It prevents cracked heels & acts as a barrier against mud fever.

* Lice dislike greasy enviroments so they are less likely to infest your horses legs.

* It encourages hair growth, if you are showing a heavy, you want lovely white glossy hair.We oil our shire and clydesdale foals from 3 weeks old.

* It is labour saving. 15 minutes every 2 weeks as opposed to washing and drying legs every day.

* Helps horses prone to sweet itch. All those expensive de-itch potions are oil based. The midge, like lice, do not favour an oily greasy enviroment. * You don't need to buy any expensive lotions and potions.

Not trying hard sell or anything, just like people to know what they're buying and what it can do!  And of course there's the benefits for using on pigs as well... Also.. My other half reckons its the best hand cream ever!!  If a little oily!!
