hi guys i would like to ask if anybody knows whats happending to my birds.
the problem i have is 3 week ago i  hatched 120 chicks out of my
brinsea 190 incubator and up to now i have lost around 12 chicks.
 im just going in the hut in the morning and they look abit unwell and when i come home from work there just liying there dead .
also on my last batch i had alot that were falling off there feet when they were trying to stand up this is strange because also my adult stock which is around 30-40 week old i have had to kill two of the cockerals (one being a chocolate orpington) beacuse they would be just normal then start tumbling about like a drunk man but they would still try and eat until what ever it is they have had got so bad they would just sit in a ball all day .
does any one now why my chicks are just droping off and why my adult cocks fell off there feet i have been breeding poultry for over 5 years and hatched 100s of chicks and never had this problem i was thinking the only thing that it sounds like it could be is marek's disease which i realy hope its aint!!!

at that rate of death and a clear sign of infection i would get the vet to check it out. it maybe just something simple like coycocis sorry about the spelling.

you need to move fast its 1 or the other or both coccidia and mycoplasma i would go for coccidia it will finish off all the stock get some tylin from the vet or get simler give them a 6 day course then try some antibiotics its bad

hi thanks for responce i have been giving my younger chicks harkers coxoid for the past few days and not lost any more chicks i have also
cleaned all the hut out and sparyed it with a disinfectant the was half hinge from the local NHS used for killing mmsra and a load of other stuff
and i havent lost any more yet.
 i had to kill one yesterday but it was a real small chick and all the others had outgrown it prob came out of a small egg
also i have not  lost any more up at my allotment were all my adult birds are.

 but there isent any thing i can do to prevent merkets and i have around 100s adult birds  all in diffrent pens what could i buy to treat theam for cox as the harkers stuff is £8.00 a bottle and only has 100ml in
