Firefox: Fix for pressing backspace twice losing your post
« on: July 19, 2017, 08:47:05 am »
Just in case this is also driving other people insane!

I had real problems with TAS formatting going wonky when using Chrome, so I switched to firefox.

However, by default it has a really irritating feature, whereby if you press backspace a couple of times whilst writing a post (for example if you were trying to edit text), it interprets this as a shortcut for the browser 'back' button, and usually you lose what you were writing.

The fix is to type about:config into the browser address bar. Then search for a parameter called browser.backspace_action, and change the value from 0 to 2. This has the effect of disabling the keyboard shortcut.

You're welcome!
