Show pigs such as large blacks berkshires  get oiled up for the show ring but you can use it on any pig with dry skin; it does wonders.

Pig Oil - Skin conditioning oil for pigs. For use in a similar way to how we use baby oil!

We use it in our horses feathers to stop them getting mites.

We use Johnson's baby oil to oil up the black spots on our GOS when we go to shows and their 'no more tears' shampoo/wash too.  :D
Another tip is to mix your chosen oil with a drop of water and put it in a hand held sprayer and spray and sponge on to your pig as gives better coverage and shine. However don't oil up a pig for the sake of it especially if its very sunny or you'll end up with crackling! and a very badly burned pig.

Have you tried Coopers Fly Repellent Plus for Horses

The blurb says

As a ready-to-use, topical application to repel and kill biting and other flies on horses; as an aid in the control of sweet itch, a condition believed to be caused by the midge Culicoides pulicaris; for the treatment and control of infestations of the biting louse, Damalinia equi. Also shines horses' coats.

Also try Coopers spot on although not licenced for horses will kill the mites/lice and is perscribed off ticket by many vets

I did find that the Coopers fly repellent poored in the feathers worked but even though i sell it in my shop and get it at cost price it worked out so expensive both my boys are very hairy,so tryed the pig oil,so far so good and i only put it on about every 10 days works out so much cheaper.

Have tried the coopers stuff and yes it worked but I found it too expensive too as he's so hairy. Never tried the spot on I'd imagine you'd need several applicators full for a large horse?

Could you use the same spot on that is used for cattle?
