Name that Cucurbita
« on: July 05, 2017, 12:04:29 pm »
I rescued a selection of plants that were described as "probably pumpkins but might be marrows or squash... Actually a slight chance theres a cucumber in there" and this little chap has sprouted a fruit.. But having never grown a marrow or squash, or indeed anything other then fluorescent pumpkins, I have no idea what it is ????

Can anyone identify it? Thanks in advance :)

I would say some variety of cucumber (ref' the little "prickles" on the fruit).
