  We live in Northern Spain, in a very rural part of Galicia.  We are renovating a house and setting up our Finca with the aim of living as much off the land as possible now that we are almost fully retired.  That way we can hold on to our pensions should any emrgencies arise - not that I'm pessimistic, you understand.  I have made a couple of false starts - mainly due to the builders changing their minds about where to put the septic tank, rainwater collection tank and new well, as well as the solar panels which, apparently, can't go on the roof but rather right across my veggie patch that I had so lovingly sheetmulched for two years.  Hey Ho!

I look forward to seeing what everyone is up to and unashamedly stealing all your best ideas.
