same here (Fife), thank goodness - even the fields were turning brown due to lack of moisture.

bit blighty though (wet and warm) so hopefully potatoes and tomatoes will be ok.

Never thought I would be so glad to have rain!! Our outside tap is broke so we have to trail the hose to the inside tap and it's not good with a house full of B&B guests!!!

All we seem to have are a few black clouds lurking overhead, I do wish that we could have a good downpour as the grass is going brown.
Oh and I am fed up having to water the veggies every night, Just put in a new hedge a few weeks ago and have to keep it watered too.

Its been chucking it down here (West Cornwall) since 11 this am - our 6800l rainwater tank was pretty much empty yesterday (4 weeks no rain) but I think it will be full by tomorrow am - it collects the water off our barn roof. I use it to give the pigs a shower when its hot - when they hear the hose they come tumbling over to dance in the shower  :D  ;D

leaving a big dent and a broken light!  :'( :'( Just what I don't need so can kiss goodbye to hen house door closer (good job I hadn't ordered one)

No rain here for months. The cracks in the ground are so big that I fear my girls will fall in and be swallowed up!

No rain here in Oxfordshire either, we are getting a bit desperate now, even tried to convince our daughter that she would like to do a rain dance, but she is not having any of it! The clouds build up (so do our hopes) and then disappear, when we lived in the town with just the garden to worry about, long hot sunny summers were great, now that the livestock could do with a bit of green grass instead of brown offerings people think we are mad when we say we hoping for rain!! I have tried everything, cleaning the windows, hanging out the washing, pulling up the garlic to dry out, but still no rain!
I am guessing that the minute it arrives we will be sorry, cos it probably wont stop for a week or two LOL :farmer:
