Mites or lice?
« on: April 26, 2017, 05:27:56 pm »
My 4 cross breed goats are losing hair on their ears and I suspect mites or lice. I can't physically see any critters on there and they don't seem hugely bothered by it. Any tips on diagnosis and treatments? I've got DE for the hens. Would that be a good start?

I have had mites on kids ears before I washed them with dog ear cleaner which says kills mites and that did the trick. I still use this dog ear cleaner but it has stopped claiming it kills ear mites and haven't needed it since so don't know if it still works or not. Otherwise Eprinex should do the trick.
