I am pleased to say .....
« on: June 29, 2010, 01:50:52 pm »
I am not rehoming the remaining Franks, they are staying here.  I have had a lot of enquiries, and let two of them go to a nice home, and then the two female British Alpines went at weekend.  It has upset me each time they have gone, and to be honest, it was hard going into the big field shelter and bring the next ones out for going.

I had two homes lined up, but said to my OH last night, that its so hard knowing if its the right sort of people......and he said seeing as I had a more maneagable number, perhaps they could stay.

Some of the people who enquired, well, maybe they meant well, but one lady wanted one for her garden, and when I explained they were big goats and needed plenty of space and company she said she would have two then.......she had no idea about holding numbers but said she would get one, no idea what goats ate, or anything about them.  Then we had the man who I was sure was going to eat them .......

Just had a phone call enquiring about the boys.  It was a lady this time. Asked where she was, and she was in the same place as the man who rang, who I suspected was going to eat them.  Must have got his wife to try and charm me.  Well, I politely told her no.  She said she would send someone immediately for them .........

Well, it seems some people don't give up easily... Good that you managed to keep some of your goats!

I still have plenty of goats, including the pygmy intact billy - 13 in total, but I did have 22.  Have not noticed a reduction in workload though, still out till all hours.
