Bottle cloches
« on: June 25, 2010, 09:56:49 pm »
We are starting to collect 2 litre plastic fizzy drinks bottles to make individual cloches for planting stuff out early next year.

Can green plastic bottles be used?

or does this cut out the wavelength needed for photosynthesis?

Technically plants need red and blue light for photosynthesis so green bottles should be fine - but I always use clear!!
