Melton mowbray rare breed auction April 2017
« on: March 01, 2017, 12:22:54 pm »
Anyone planning to sell or buy or just visit the Melton Mowbray Rare breed poultry and waterfowl auction on Saturday 8th of April 2017?

I'm planning to sell a trio of West of England geese and probably some of their eggs.
Perhaps some serama bantams? I have really nice ones.

Depending on what's available I want to buy a pair or trio of either La Bresse or Indian game chickens and breed them for the table.
Growing loads of fruits and vegetables! Raising dairy goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits on 1/2 acre in the middle of the city of Leicester, using permaculture methods.

Are you sure it's still going ahead?  I'd have thought it would come under the same restrictions as poultry shows etc?

It does!
I hope (as does everyone else I think!) By the 8thcof April the ban is lifted  :fc:
