Without doubt the cost of pig feed is the most expense involved with rearing pigs
Has anyone ever mixed their own feed and if so what was the composition of the mix and did it work out cheaper?

There have been several threads on this on this forum.  The main concern is maintaining the correct amount of protein for your breed.  If that's not right you'll be feeding too much and that's more expensive than feeding bagged feed.  Feed too little and the pigs won't be growing frame first then padding it out and you'll get less than optimum pork.
