Actually, I get bored if I'm not really there (and sometimes even then!) so I prefer the highlights, and have to turn the sound off cos it drives me mad!

I have a good thing on My Panasonic Flat Screen TV Its a small rectangular piece of plastic on the lower left hand corner.If football comes on and you press on it the football dissapears.Great intit.

Well wrongly again no doubt I look at it like this.I pay £145.00p To watch TV This money allegedly.Oh I do love that word goes to the BBC It is time the BBC is disbanded and they are forced to earn the money they waste.Look at the money that has been spent on DAB.It is like the Post Office One cannot even post 3 first class post letters for a £1 now.They did advertise we handle 6000000 packets a day Now one does not need to be a Mathematician to work out the input even at letter rate I sent a packet (1KG) normal post and it was in excess of £4.00p.Where do they spend all this money?For such a poor service.Yes you are Langdon but I object to it being rammed down my throat

I dont really care about the football one way or the other - I do find it staggering that the whole country grinds to a halt, sick leave soars through the roof etc. My OH works in construction and his bosses have shut the company tomorrow for the match so they dont have problems on sites with sick leave etc - how much is that costing? Since they know this is going to cause loss of work, drunkeness etc, I just dont get why they dont put the matches on after normal working hours - 2.30 in the afternoon tomorrow, daft innit     


Still, saying that, I did have a flag on my car for 3 days    My four year old daughter was fascinated with all the 'flag cars' and wanted one too - prompted various discussions about England, countries, the world and the queen, but funnily enough we didnt touch on football.

I think the service from the BBC is excellent and excellent value for money. You get an awful lot for £3 a week. Their World Cup coverage is infinitely better than ITV (Have I ever told you I went o the same school as Alan Hansen and he got the scar on his forehead falling through a door at school). They do great drama, wildlife and the News is still pretty good - in delivery if not content.

My postie's a gem, too.

On topic, the World Cup's geting better. The big boys are getting going now. Hope England get off the blocks tomorrow too.

  No, you defend what you think needs defending - and rightly so.

Personally I don't care whether the whole of TV shows football - I don't watch TV now I've discovered TAS!!!   And to be honest an awful lot of people who post on here seem to be doing the same.
