We did geese for the Christmas market and the first 2 weeks are always unfertile. You need luck and not hatch in an incubater. We did about 40 but you need good laying geese. I started getting young and band them when they had proved there worth. Till we had 12 good mothers and take eggs away until they have layed about 12.
