Pig ailment
« on: July 23, 2010, 10:34:18 pm »
I have 7 various pigs. One is a year old GOS gilt that was with the boar 2 and a half weeks ago. Suddenly she is foaming at the mouth and is rapidly loosing her hair! She is eating well and generally behaves normally. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong and what to do?
Thanking you in anticipation.

Foaming at the mouth - when ours do that its normally greeting a new pig, or the boar if someone is in season.

losing hair can be due to the weather or to fleas.  These are just suggestions.
