Butterfly in December
« on: December 09, 2016, 06:32:45 pm »
After some frosty days the weather has turned mild, but I was still surprised to see a tortoise shell butterfly in the shed today. It's colours were sharp and had no sign of wear and tear so I assume it was newly emerged..

Still have butterflies, wasps and hornets as well as the dreaded mosquitoes and midges. Was hoping for respite from them lol, suppose I should be grateful that the horse and deer flies have disappeared.????
