FS - Young Highland bull (Scottish Borders)

For Sale => Lachlan of Shankend.

Lachlan is currently birth notified with the Highland Cattle Society, but he will be registered later this month once he has been vet checked and DNA tested.
He was born on the 13th of June 2015. His sire is Aonghas of Craigowmill, and his dam is Princess Og the 3rd of Croc Mhor.

This week he was treated for fluke, worms and lice.

He knows what a bucket of food is, and will follow a bucket. He has been on a halter a couple of times in his life but is not halter trained.

I am currently an elite health fold, and my annual blood test is due this month, so hopefully I will maintain my high health status.

The cattle have all been tested for TB this year and all of them were negative. Due to changes in the regulations I am now except from further TB testing as I am deemed a low risk fold.

Viewing is welcome.

Price - £1000 ono

Thanks :-)

This very afternoon Lachlan has passed his vet check :-)

He is one step closer to being registered.

And we had a wee go on the halter! Not bad for a first attempt since he's grown up!

Blood test results back from the Premium Cattle Health Scheme and Lachlan, and all my other cattle, are negative for BVD, IBR, Lepto and Johnes, so I have retained my elite health status making Lachlan a high health bull from a Johnes Risk Level 1 fold.

For any more information about Lachlan please email shankendfarming@gmail.com

Thanks :-)

Lachlan is now sold.

I will have up to 4 young bulls available for sale at the back end of this year. They will be vet checked, DNA tested and registered in October.

If anyone is looking for a young bull to bring on I would sell them after spaening but they wouldn't be registered at that age as they can't be registered until they are 14 months old.

PM me or email me at shankendfarming@gmail.com for more information.

Thanks :-)
