Embden goose laying eggs in September?
« on: September 07, 2016, 01:55:45 pm »
Hi All

I'm new to these boards and have just been posting over on the sheep forum when I thought I would drop in here to introduce myself and ask if anyone had experience with embden geese laying eggs in September?  It was very unexpected, she made a nest and out popped an egg!
Would you take it off her I presume?  Surely this is the wrong time for goslings to be arriving, or not?  Thanks for your help :)

Ours have laid in September a few times. It's not unheard of. We always take all the eggs for selling and or eating.

Thanks for this, we've removed them and eaten them just to be sure :)
