Looking for some pedigree registered Ryeland gimmers/ewes. Pure whites but also a couple of coloured ones.

Also looking for one or two tups ( should of course be unrelated to the gimmers/ewes).

We are located in the North East of Scotland - but would be willing to travel to most of mainland UK for the right Ryelands.

Have you tried Janice Milne, Secretary of the Scottish Ryeland Group or Dot Tyne, Secretary of RFBS?

There's a lot of demand out there just now, and rightly so, IMHO. There's ususally some fro sale at the Show and Sale at Carlisle.

Hi
Rosemary - we were thinking of going to the Show and Sale at Carlisle. It seems really difficult to get hold of some breeding gimmers/ewes this year (like you wrote, there's a lot of demand out there right now) - we've been in contact with quite a few breeders so far. But seems like most have only got rams for sale this year. Haven't tried Janice Milne or Dot yet though so might be worth a try. thanks :-)

Talana, I've not been able to find anything about St Ternan ryelands. But have been in contact with the 2 other breeders already :-)

Ann-Eliz - I don't seem to have received anything?!
