We have a dexter steer about 1 year old that has had a s****y backside for about 1 month, we regularly worm our cattle with a pour on, still has the problem, they are out all year round on grass with a scoop of hard feed in the morning
Any ideas? :cow:

Could t be Johne's Disease? Symptoms are diarrhoea in an individual animal, loss of condition, general unthriftiness, harsh, staring coat. Appetite is variable and temperature may be a drgree or two above normal. You shoudl speak to your vet if you think it could be. There's no cure and it can be spread to other cattle and sheep.

Probably too young for Johnne's disease apparently only really seen in mature animals -  so my vet said last year when I had a worry on about one of my steers.

Try feeding some straw or old dry hay, otherwise have you treated for fluke?
