Hello.  we moved to Suffolk/Norfolk boarder two weeks ago to a 'tinyholding', just under an acre.  We moved from the city with our 6 chickens & have plans for some pygmy goats in the summer.  Spent yesterday digging a veg bed & then the rest of the day rabbit-proofing it.  Will be needing lots of advice from you people.  Seems like a friendly place.

Hello and welcome, I must be a micro holder  (sorry Steeeeeeeee!!), mind you, I do have large hands Our garden is not too big and we have 16 chickens and 2 Ducks. I just am growing a few salad leaves. tom's and herbs in pots.Home grown veg are fantastic but no room for them!!!! One thing I do hate is slugs..they eat lot's of my seedlings and with 2 pups I dare not use slug killer so just collect them, screw up my eyes and throw them to the birds!!!!!

hello and welcome from another tiny-holder.
we manage to fit chickens, quail, 3 pigs, goats, rabbits (7 plus babies), guinea pigs (6) tadpoles (milions!) 2 cats &  couple of visitors, and a german shepherd.... and still have some lawn and several veg plots in ours, so be imaginative - it'll all go in somewhere!!

Thank you all for your warm welcomes.  Have just got in from measuring up for fencing, not sure when we will be able to afford it but we need to get it all secure before thinking about goats.  I am hoping we will be ready before the summer hols.  I think we will be able to squeeze lots of animals & veg in - not too worrried about flowers, I'm planning on goats, more chooks, ducks, geese, maybe turkeys [any opinions?] and bees, so loads of advice going to be needed. 

Piggy, we are near Beccles.  Where are you?

You can definitely do goats on a small acreage, as long as you can buy in their hay and go hedgerow-browsing for branches, they will be happy.

Sometimes I wish we would have less land... we have nine acres, and it's hard work (and too much of it!)

Enjoy your holding, I don't have any flowers either, just dandelions (which the bees are mad about!).
