I'm looking for a couple of dozen hatching hen's eggs to fill our incubator. I'm done buying eggs via the post though, (too hit and miss IME), so I'm wondering who has what available for collection within a reasonable drive of Stirling.

Any offers?

Hi Both,  (Sorry, I only just noticed the replies).

Thanks for the offers, but I'm only actually wanting large fowl hen's eggs at the moment.  We have hunners of ducks already - just chooks we're short of.

I can't believe that NOBODY locally has any available? Surely not!  :innocent:

Cheers!

We have plenty of eggs available but probably too far for you top travel (Tomintoul), however if you happen to be out for a drive then they're available, mixture of Light Sussex and crosses.

Hi Tony,

I think you're right, a 294 mile round trip is perhaps a little excessive!   ;)

Thanks for the offer though

I'll be travelling down through Perth to Kirkcaldy via the M90 next Thursday the 23rd so could meet you with eggs on route if you don't find any by then.

Thanks for the offer Tony. I'm afraid I'm away on Thursday though, so I'm not going to be able to meet you.

To make matters worse, our cockerel has now gone lame, so even our own mixed bag eggs aren't going to be fertile now, as the girls can all outrun him!  ;D

Really, seriously, nobody in the Central Belt keeps a breeding flock of hens any more?  ???
